Marvelous May

So, about 2 weeks ago I was in a conversation about blogs and totally forgot that I had this blog. So, I am going to try a new thing starting her in May.

Let me tell you a little about myself so you can get to know me a little.

I am originally from Michigan, but now live in Texas. I graduated from high school and college in Michigan. I majored in Criminal Justice and worked for a while in that field. I was a security guard, a private investigator, group social worker in a lock down facility and a parole officer. After being in Texas for a while I decided I wanted to teach, so I got my special education certification and started to teach behavioral students (due to my previous employment and my education). While teaching I re-ignited my love of cheer and dance from my youth and started to coach. LOVE coaching and watching our young grow.

Teaching became challenging due to the fact that teachers are forced and regulated by the state and parents don't take personal responsibility for their children. NOW, please do not get me wrong, I am not talking about ALL parents, BUT teachers were forced to jump through hoops while students who chose not to do the work got chance after chance after chance. AND when they still chose not to do the work, it was the teachers fault. My desire to work in the academic setting changed and I decided to start my own businesses. I still worked in education for a while, but not long after opening the business I decided it was time for me to move on. I still do work for a company that puts on cheer and dance competitions throughout the year. I also work with a college dance team throughout the year and we currently changed how we want to be seen so we are gearing up for that. Lots of work, time and energy to go around.

I now enjoy the time with my family and the entrepreneurial life I lead. I schedule my day the way I want to and make sure that I get everything I need completed as well as spend time with my family. I still "work" at all businesses, but not on anyone's schedule but mine!

I LOVE my Mary Kay business because the products are AMAZING! I also get to meet AMAZING men and women while on this journey. I am always working hard to meet new people and offer information on how to work this business to fit into your lifestyle.

I am married, have 3 children and 3 grandchildren with another on the way. 1 child is 25 with her 3 kids (1 girl and twin boys), 1 child is re-entering college after a not so good run at her first attempt and expecting a child and the last child will be graduating from high school this year and entering college in the fall.

YES, I am busy BUT I LOVE IT! I wouldn't have it any other way, but please know that as busy as I am I do have plenty of time to rest, play and have fun. It is all in management, priorities and perception.

My hope is that I can give people hope in whatever business they desire to start, but certainly would LOVE to build a strong organization of my own. Please know that there are ups and downs in EVERYTHING we do, but it is ALL in how you approach life as to where you end up!

I hope you enjoy this life journey and I can give you hope. I hope that you will gain knowledge of how I work this business to fit my lifestyle so others don't "suffer", but I do it for the others so they don't have to suffer. Do you prefer working for someone else and only earning what they say you can or would you like to earn whatever amount you want with tons of flexibility? It is always a choice, so what is your choice? I look forward to sharing more information with you about my journey. I am on a mission to give myself a raise and to go to the top in this Mary Kay business. I can have WHATEVER I am willing to WORK for!
