Social Media Craziness
So, I was at the gym on the bicycle getting my last hit routine before I leave and I look up at the TV. On the screen, I believe it was Good Morning America or the Morning Show, they were discussing ANOTHER trend on TikTok. First and foremost I do NOT understand WHY ANYONE would do something that could be soooo dangerous to their well being. Please be aware that I may not have all the details correct since I was busy working out but this is the gist of it.
So now, they are marketing a nasal spray that will allow a body to tan while you sleep. First, the logic that sniffing something will cause your skin from head to toe to darken and look tan to me is logically flawed. Second, WHY would you ingest/sniff anything that comes from some unknown/reputable source? Third, why would you believe a Botox filled, fake tanned, fake blonde in short shorts or a bikini top on social media? Have we NOT learned that what we see on social media is mostly enhanced, photoshopped, created to make you believe life is great?
I do not know who needs to hear this but STOP BELIEVEING EVERYTHING YOU SEE/HEAR ON SOCIAL MEDIA.
I know some people are truthful and are real. But let's face it. Most people want you to believe their life is perfect (until it's not). I love to send out motivational stuff a lot because it is my way of keeping myself focused on positive outlooks so my life is not so dramatic. It has taken me awhile and a lot of training/coaching (and continually getting training/coaching) to balance my life the way I try to be. I am still a work in progress, but proud of my growth.
We need to be aware of our children and the things they are doing. Destroying school property and eating tide pods is one thing, but adding ingesting something you do not know could be drugs or poison. Please make sure that you continuously help the younger generations from making these dumb mistake. It could cost their life, or someone else's.
I know there have been "pacts" that kids have had over the years, but I believe social media has made things ten times worse. PLEASE BE AWARE.
Stay alert. Do not bury your head in the sand and think, MY KIDS WOULD NOT EVER DO THAT. I used to to things like that and I was shocked when one of my children followed a path she was not raised to go down. It is one of those "last words" statements. I am happy to say things are better for her and she has learned from those paths, but she also regrets them a little. They say take the mistake and throw it away, just keep the lesson.
