Middle of summer
It is hard to believe that we are down to the last 2 weeks of July. This means we are almost done with summer. This means school is right around the corner. I know some people can't wait for the kids to go back. They need a vacation from the kids vacation...heehee ;)
As the days wear on with Extreme Heat Advisories, stay hydrated, stay cool and make sure that you are taking care of the people around you. The young and the old. We need to make sure that they are safe.
This past weekend, my husband and I saw an AMAZING movie "Sound of Freedom" This was a grat movie and VERY eye openining as to child trafficking, but this morning as I was working out, I also thought about the fact that this same process is how woman are also pulled into this world of trafficking. Of course are children NEED to be protected, but those that are dragged into this world as adults, need to be helped as well. It was a thought provoking movie that makes me wonder what "I" can do to help these people/children. I wonder how aware I am of the people around me that could possibly be in the same situation. Would I recognize someone who needs help? I sure hope so.
My businesses have been doing well, but would love to see more activity. The mechanic shop portion has been low and this is mainly due to families spending vacation time before school starts. The towing side is OK,. I don't want people to drive bad, or commit crimes, but that is good money when it comes in. My Mary Kay business got active this past week/weekend and it was FUN! It felt good to be back in the game. I look forward to continuing the energy with this business. My cheer business is at a little stand still due to needing to find athletes and a space to work out of. BUT,we will get that going AND I am ecited because I am working a cmap that will help me learn more! I just need to pay attention! Soak it all in.
Working to pay off debt is still a top priority and why I continue to work ALOT. I was celebrated with an award; 2022 Veteran of the year - Southwest Region. After 25 years of working for this company during the summer as well as some events and compeititons, has been a lot of fun. I LOVE the people I meet and I LOVE the skills I learn.
